Hello, I’m Kat, the founder of Nook, an app dedicated to nurturing the mental well-being of mums. As a mother, I understand the unique blend of joy, challenges, and pressure that comes with raising children. Too often, mums prioritise everyone else’s well-being above their own, leaving little room for self-care and mental peace. I created Nook as a safe space where mums can take a deep breath, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Nook is more than an app—it’s a companion on your motherhood journey, designed to help you thrive, not just survive.
Meet The Team
Our Story
Nook was born from my own experiences as a mum navigating the highs and lows of parenthood (Some days are awesome, some days just down right suck). In the early days, I found myself juggling sleepless nights, work commitments, and the relentless expectations of being the ‘perfect’ mum. The pressure was overwhelming, and finding support tailored to mums was challenging. Most wellness resources were generalised, not considering the specific mental load that comes with motherhood.

Recognizing this gap, I decided to create Nook. Drawing on conversations with fellow mums and extensive research into maternal mental health, I developed a space where mothers could find relatable content, guided meditations, quick de-stress techniques, and community support. Every feature in Nook is designed with the understanding that sometimes, all a mum has is five minutes between diaper changes or school drop-offs. Our goal is to make mental wellness accessible, manageable, and impactful—one mindful moment at a time.
